Daphne Badger’s death has been ruled a homicide

An autopsy concluded that Daphne Badger was shot to death.

Police released the findings Monday, confirming the death of the 35-year-old west Edmonton woman as a homicide.

Badger was taken to a hospital Aug. 19 from the Continental Inn & Suites at 166th Street and Stony Plain Road.

A 39-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Police told CTV News they knew each other.
