RCMP are investigating after receiving a report of a man approaching a child in Spaniard’s Bay.
Police were contacted by a parent who reported that a young man had been approached by an elderly man driving what was believed to be a black Chevy Equinox SUV on Rectory Road around 4:30 yesterday afternoon.
RCMP say the man stopped the vehicle and spoke to the youth, offering them money, which the youth refused to accept despite the man’s repeated efforts.
The man then left the area. The vehicle is described as having white and yellow rims.
RCMP hope to speak with the driver of the SUV to determine his intentions.
