Emily Atack has reportedly split with boyfriend Liam McGough, just two months after becoming Instagram official with him.

The 32-year-old presenter is believed to have split from the former Big Brother contestant and 37-year-old tree surgeon earlier this week.

A source told The Sun: “Emily and Liam have been friends for a long time and were together for seven months but have sadly decided to split.

Oh no! Emily Atack has ‘SPLIT’ from her boyfriend Liam McGough after seven months of dating – but has vowed to remain ‘friends’ with the CBB star

“They kept their relationship under wraps for a while and only went public when news broke that they were together.

“Unfortunately, they decided they were better off as friends and parted ways a few days ago, but it’s all very amicable.”

MailOnline has contacted Emily’s representatives for comment.

Emily became Instagram official with her new boyfriend Liam in August as she snuggled up to him during a sunny alfresco lunch.

A major social media milestone for the Inbetweeners star further cemented her relationship with the former Big Brother housemate, with the loved-up pair posing for a boozy brunch selfie.

TV star Emily and her ex-partners are believed to have “dated briefly” but the romance “recently started to get more serious”.

The ‘I’m A Celebrity’ star is said to be ‘very keen’ to take things forward with Liam, with the source adding: ‘Emily has been focused on her career lately, she’s been ignoring talk of men and dating etc.

“But if you ask her, she feels really strongly that she should be able to indulge in having a good time and enjoying life just as much as any famous man should be allowed to.”

“She doesn’t feel the need to apologize for being pictured with multiple men, but things are going well this time and she’s happy to keep things as they are for a while and see if it develops.”

Liam was a housemate on the 2007 series of Big Brother, where he finished in third place, losing to winner Brian Bello.

Emily has been linked to a number of men in recent months, including comedian and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Sean Walsh and footballer Jack Grealish, 26.

The TV star and Manchester City footballer Jack are said to have had a secret six-week relationship while he was still dating his girlfriend Sasha Attwood – something they both vehemently deny.
