Last night Ivan Tony was subjected to disgusting, racist abuse via a direct message received on social media.
We condemn this discriminatory behavior in the strongest possible way. An attack on one of our players is an attack on all of us.
Ivan will have the full support of the club and Brentford fans, who we have already seen condemn the abuse.
We expect strong support from the police, the judiciary and Instagram’s parent company, Meta, to ensure that the person involved is brought to justice for this despicable hate crime.
