Everton predicted starting line-up against Bournemouth – with a whopping 10 changes made

Everton expected the team to face AFC Bournemouth in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Everton aim to progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup when they face AFC Bournemouth tonight (19.45 GMT).

The Toffees are preparing for two games against the Cherries as they also play at the Vitality Stadium this weekend.

But Frank Lampard’s full focus will be on the upcoming cup clash. It has been 27 years since Everton last won silverware and Lampard would go down in Goodison folklore if he could end the wait for a trophy.

However, the Blues boss could be considering changes against Bournemouth. Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring), Idrissa Gana Gueye (thigh) and Amadou Onana (ankle) suffered setbacks in last Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Leicester City.

In addition, Lampard could see the tie as a chance to give some of his fringe players a chance to challenge for a game at the weekend.

With all that in mind, here’s the Everton team we’re predicting to face Bournemouth.

2. CB – Michael Keane

I haven’t appeared in almost two and a half months, so I’m going to enjoy going out.

3. CB – Jeri Mina

The Colombia international has been sidelined since the opening-day loss to Chelsea. Now fit again and this could be the perfect game for Mina to make a comeback.

4. CB – Mason Holgate

He has had to be patient since returning from injury with Everton since switching to a flat back four. Holgate has not been out since recovering from the setback he suffered in August.
