Mason Mount (on for Henderson, 80) 7/10 – The Chelsea midfielder was only about a minute in when he won the penalty which Kane flicked over the bar.

Raheem Sterling (in for Saka, 79) 6/10 – Barely trained all week but was sent on to try and save England after Giroud had put France ahead.

Marcus Rashford (for Foden, 85) 6/10 – Sent off immediately after Kane missed his second penalty. A last gasp free kick to the top of the goal.

Jack Grealish (for stones, 90) 6/10 – Replaced stones in time added for stoppages.

Made a good save on Kane and a great one on Bellingham. He couldn’t get anywhere near Kane’s first penalty, but he didn’t need the second. 7/10

He kept Phil Foden in check. Strong and confident on the right side. 6/10

Despite allowing Kane to turn it over twice, he produced a superb strike against Saka to set up the French break that led to their first goal. 6/10

Given a tough night, he had to keep fouling Saka and he fouled Mason Mount to give away the second penalty. 5/10
