Four people were rescued from a partial floor collapse

Injuries were not considered serious after four people were rescued from the 25th floor of a building on Thursday afternoon.

According to the fire in London, there was a partial floor collapse during the pouring of cement on the 25th floor of an apartment building under construction.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m., and firefighters entered the building at 131 King St. and had to use a construction elevator for the rescue.

Four workers were injured in the collapse, but the injuries were not serious.

“It’s been a challenge,” said District Superintendent Dennis Schieffers. “We had to use the construction elevator up to the 19th floor. From there, crews had to go up to the 25th floor, assess them there, and then get them out.

The construction site is managed by York Developments, which in a statement said in part: “We are grateful that no serious injuries have been reported and we are now in the process of gathering further information. The safety of workers and the public is at the heart of our business and we will conduct an internal review with EllisDon to ensure compliance with our mandated safety protocols. York Developments would like to thank London Fire, Police and EMS for their quick and responsive efforts.”
