Canada staged quite a comeback from a 2-0 deficit against the United States to advance to the gold medal game at the World Junior Hockey Championship with a 6-2 victory.

Mount Pearl’s Zach Dean played a very strong game for the winners, setting up Adam Fantilly’s goal. The Americans outshot Canada for much of the game with 43 shots, but had two goals disallowed due to goalie interference.

The final is tonight in Halifax at 8:00 NST. Chechia, who upset Canada in the opening game on Boxing Day, scored late against Sweden to equalize, then won it in OT.
