Highway 1 has reopened

UPDATE: 8:50 p.m
According to DriveBC, the Trans-Canada Highway between Revelstoke and Golden has reopened to traffic in both directions.
The highway has been closed since mid-afternoon as a result of a crash.
There was no word on the severity of the collision or the condition of those involved.
UPDATE: 5:55 p.m
Drive BC expects Highway 1 to remain closed until 9:30 tonight.
Their next update will be at 8:00.

Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Revelstoke and Golden due to a crash, according to DriveBC.
The closure covers more than 140 kilometers between Townley Street and Anderson Road. There is no detour.
An assessment is underway, with the next update from DriveBC expected at 6:00 p.m
