Although there have been many documentaries about Amy, this is the first biographical feature film of her life and has the full support of The Amy Winehouse Estate.
The Estate released a statement saying: “We are thrilled that Studiocanal, Focus Features and Monumental are making this film that celebrates our daughter Amy’s extraordinary musical legacy and showcases her talent in the way she deserves.”
