New Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus leak shows launch colors ahead of February 1st launch event

NieuweMobiel has leaked official images of the Galaxy S23 Plus, confirming the design changes of the Galaxy S22 Plus. Revealed a few hours after equivalent images of the Galaxy S23 Ultra leaked, the images also highlight that the Galaxy S23 series will share the same four colors at launch. According to Roland Quandt and NieuweMobiel, Samsung will introduce these colors as:

  • Botanical green
  • Cotton flower
  • Misty lilac
  • Phantom Black

Usually, Samsung also offers exclusive online colors that are available on its website. In short, the four shown below are likely the ones Samsung and third-party retailers will be stocking. As expected, the Galaxy S23 Plus has the same overall design as the Galaxy S23, with Samsung ditching the larger camera body in favor of separate camera lenses. While the change homogenizes the Galaxy S23 series, it also makes the Galaxy S23 Plus look like a Galaxy A series phone from the back, like the Galaxy A14 or the upcoming Galaxy A34.

The Galaxy S23 Plus will debut on February 1 during Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event. Currently, Samsung is also expected to introduce the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra, as well as the Galaxy Book3. Although NieuweMobiel did not reveal specifications, the Galaxy S23 Plus is rumored to rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 globally, without replacing the Exynos 2200.
