An anonymous tip-off about a dangerous driver on the Conception Bay Freeway led to the arrest of a 21-year-old Victoria man for a number of court offences.
Police received a call around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, and the vehicle in question was located a short time later on Columbus Drive in Carbonear.
Police conducted a traffic stop but did not observe any dangerous driving at the time.
The driver, who was driving without a valid license, was arrested for failure to comply with conditions of release, including failure to comply with curfew. The vehicle is neither registered nor insured and has been impounded.
The accused was remanded in custody pending a court appearance on three charges of failing to comply with the conditions of a release order. He has also been tried for a number of offences.
