Cop rapist ‘began violence before joining Met’ | News

Cop rapist David Carrick began sexually assaulting women in his teenage years, a decade before he joined the force, detectives believe.

The Times has learned that a victim has come forward to accuse Carrick, one of the country’s worst sex offenders, of sexual abuse dating back 30 years.

It underlines the scale of Carrick’s crimes and police expect more women to come forward after he pleaded guilty to 80 offenses between 2003 and 2020, including 48 rapes against a dozen women.
