Washington State University police recovered a possibly bloody mattress cover, human hair, a glove and a computer from the apartment of University of Idaho murder suspect Brian Koberger, according to a search warrant unsealed in a Washington court Wednesday.
Police executed a search warrant at the residence and office of the 28-year-old doctoral student at Washington State University in Pullman on Dec. 29, the same day that Pennsylvania State Police and a SWAT team raided his parents’ home and took him into custody in the early morning hours.
According to the search warrant, Washington State University police also seized two pillowcase clippings with a “reddish/brown stain,” a “black nitrite-type glove,” eight possible strands of hair, a possible strand of animal hair and other evidence, including possible blood spots that have been sent to a laboratory for testing.
Kochberger was subsequently charged with planning and carrying out the brutal murder on November 13 in Moscow, Idaho – a ten-minute drive from his residence – in which four defenseless students were stabbed to death while they slept.

Police also found shoes with diamond-patterned soles – matching prints found at the scene of the murder – as well as “data compilations” of information about the victims, according to recently released findings.
