Brian Walsh’s murdered wife dies with $2.8 million, inheritance motive?

The man accused of brutally murdering and dismembering his wife in Massachusetts may have had a motive…to inherit a lot of money.

Brian Walsh’s wife left a $2.8 million real estate portfolio, and it’s almost certain that prosecutors will weave that into their case against him.

Prosecutors say Walsh performed a Google search for ways to get money from people who have disappeared, typing “how long someone has to be missing to inherit” into the search bar. Walsh did this after the disappearance of Anna Walsh.

Anna was associated with eight properties in DC, Maryland and Massachusetts while serving as General Manager for Tishman Speyer, a commercial real estate firm.

As of 2018, Anna had sold four properties, but still owned another four — valued at nearly $3 million — at the time she disappeared on New Year’s Day from her suburban Boston home.

Walsh has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and improper handling and transportation of human remains. He was arrested on Jan. 8 after misleading investigators and has been held without bail since then.

The Norfolk District Attorney says Walsh killed Anna around New Year’s and dismembered her body before disposing of it. Police recovered a bloody knife from the basement of their home.

Cops also found a hacksaw, a hatchet, rugs and a COVID vaccine card with Anna’s name on it in a dumpster taken from Walsh’s mother’s apartment complex.

What’s worse… Walsh allegedly scoured the internet for information on how to dispose of a female body that weighs 115 kilograms.
