Parents ‘killed their daughter, leaving her morbidly obese’ | News

Two parents killed their 16-year-old daughter by allowing her to become morbidly obese during the Covid lockdown, a court was told.

Kaylea Titford, who weighed 22st 13lb (145.6kg), lived in conditions “unfit for any animal” and did not leave her bed for months, Mold Crown Court was told yesterday.

When she died in October 2020 at her home in Newtown, Powys, she was found lying in dirt and soiled clothes. The family is said to have ordered five takeaways a week. Kayleigh’s mother, Sarah Lloyd-Jones, 39, admitted manslaughter by gross negligence, but her father, Alan Titford, 45, denies all charges.
