Pedestrian in hospital with life-threatening condition: police

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision yesterday morning.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., a gray SUV turned onto Albert Street west of Andrew Street and struck the pedestrian.

“The driver of the SUV stopped the vehicle and administered first aid to the pedestrian until emergency services arrived,” said a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Department. “The pedestrian was transported to Sault Ste. Hospital with life-threatening injuries.”
