Sister Wives’ Mykelti Brown slams Meri’s ‘dishonest’ behavior before Kody split: ‘She threw in the towel’

Mykelti (Brown) Padrón sees the end of her father’s last marriage a little differently than some.
Christine Brown’s eldest daughter has spoken out against Mary Brown after Mary and Cody Brown confirmed their marriage was “finally over”. Michelti pointed to Mary’s former cheating scandal as the real end of their marriage.
Mykelti shared a Crowdcast Live for his Patreon followers, and an Instagram account, Without a Crystal Ball, shared a peek into Mykelti’s thoughts on the recent split.
“When you cheat on someone, the first thing you do is give in,” Mickelti explained. “If you’re going to cheat on your wife, you first give up on the relationship. It’s not fair for her to be mad at dad when she surrenders. She threw in the towel. She said, “I’m done .’ She cheated first.”

The Sister Wives star referenced Mary’s catfishing scandal in 2015. To recap, Mary met someone online and began an emotional relationship with him. However, it turns out that Mary’s online crush is actually a woman pretending to be a man.
In a statement to PEOPLE at the time, Mary said, “During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I started talking to someone online who turned out not to be who they said they were.”
She added: “I’ve never met this person and I’m sorry I got involved in this situation, but I hope that because of her I can help others who are in similar circumstances.”

The scandal caused a rift in Mary and Cody’s relationship, and the couple explained that they’ve been in an unromantic place ever since. Cody previously addressed the whole situation on the show, saying Mary was “leaving my ass,” later adding, “She’s done with us. And she can’t admit it now.’

Mykelti also addressed that even though Meri never physically cheated on Kody, cheating is just as real for their family. “[Meri’s child Leon] I heard them on the phone having intimate conversations on the phone,” she said. “And if you’re sexting or verbally or whatever, that’s cheating. It’s still a scam.”
