Donald Trump is reportedly set to return to Twitter as part of his 2024 campaign, and representatives have petitioned Facebook parent Meta to reinstate his account on the platform, according to a report from NBC News.
Meanwhile, Mr Trump’s former “fixer” Michael Cohen met with New York prosecutors as part of an investigation into the Trump Organization’s involvement in the payment of hush money to Stormy Daniels.
Mr Trump’s former personal lawyer arrived for a meeting with the Manhattan district attorney’s office on Tuesday, leaving roughly 90 minutes later, where he told CNN he would likely meet with investigators again.
The apparent intensification of the investigation comes after recently released diaries revealed who visited Mr. Trump’s White House in the days before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Visitor logs obtained by the House special committee investigating Jan. 6 reveal that the president met with several far-right election deniers and conspiracy theorists, including Sidney Powell.
The former president also continued to talk about the parallel investigations into the discovery of classified material at Mar-a-Lago and classified documents at President Joe Biden’s home and an office he once used.

Although Donald Trump gained access to his Twitter account on November 19 following Elon Musk’s takeover of the company and the decision to lift the ban imposed on the former president after the riot in the Capitol, he has to tweet.
That could all change, according to a report by NBC News that his 2024 campaign advisers have been brainstorming ideas for his first tweet.
In addition, the campaign also reached out to Facebook parent Meta to unblock his account on that platform, which was also suspended two years ago.
“We believe that the banning of President Trump’s Facebook account has dramatically distorted and impeded public discourse,” the Trump campaign wrote in its letter to Meta on Tuesday, according to a copy seen by NBC News.
The campaign wants a meeting to discuss the refund. Meta said it will announce a decision in the coming weeks.
After being banned from the major social media platforms, Mr Trump started his own – Truth Social – but it didn’t enjoy the audience and pulpit he had on the other sites. Although he has 4.8 million followers on Truth Social, he had 88 million on Twitter and 34 million on Facebook.
