A DUI charge was filed after the restaurant notified police

Saugeen Shores police filed a DUI charge after receiving a tip from a local establishment.

Police were notified that a man left the establishment around 11.40pm on Wednesday. He is said to have left in a car after several attempts by restaurant staff to convince the man to call a taxi.

Police located the driver and quickly determined he was impaired. He was transported to the station for a breath test.

Saugeen Shores man, 64, charged with operating while impaired (80+). His driver’s license was confiscated and his car impounded.
