A Southgate woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegations she deliberately poisoned another person.
Police in West Gray launched an investigation on January 19 after allegations emerged that the 56-year-old had poisoned a person with intent to cause death. A search warrant was obtained the next day.
On Saturday, police arrested Barbara Ann Ellis as a result of the investigation. She is accused of attempted murder and use of harmful substances.
She remains in police custody pending a bail hearing.
