Two more deputy ministers have been sacked by the Ukrainian government as part of “personnel” changes announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky last night.

“At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on January 24, a number of personnel decisions were made,” Oleg Nemchynov, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, said on Telegram.

He said that Vyacheslav Nekhoda, Ukraine’s deputy minister of community and territorial development, and Vitaly Muzychenko, Ukraine’s deputy minister of social policy, had been fired.

They join Vyacheslav Shapovalov, deputy defense minister, and Ivan Lukerya, deputy community and territorial development minister, in leaving the government.

The dismissals follow that of Vasil Lozinski, Acting Minister of Communities and Territories Development.

Ukraine’s infrastructure ministry said on Sunday that Lozinsky was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement. He has not commented on the allegations.

In addition, the cabinet supported the release of the governors of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kyiv, Sumy and Kherson regions, Nemchinov said.

On Monday night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signaled there would be “personnel” changes in the Ukrainian government, without naming the people affected.
