The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has closed a section of Perth Road 122 north of Stratford, Ontario. while officers investigate a sudden death.
Police have released few details other than a sudden death investigation is underway in the area.
The area is secluded with lots of farmland.
“I saw a lot of suspicious lights across the marsh and I decided to see what was going on,” nearby resident Ross Janzi told CTV News. “I went there and apparently the road was closed and at that point I was told the investigation was ongoing. [It’s] not really a surprise because it’s kind of a secluded place, sorry about what happened.
On Friday morning, a van with “Five Star Custom Concrete Ltd.” written on the side could be seen sitting in the ditch on the side of the road. It was taken out and towed around 10:30am
Perth Road 122 is closed between Route 50 and Route 52.
Const. Kimberly Lyon said the road was expected to reopen around 1pm on Friday.
