Donald Trump kicked off his 2024 presidential campaign with events in New Hampshire and South Carolina on Saturday, saying “every day for the United States is April Fools” under President Biden.
Speaking in the South Carolina capital, Columbia, his second event of the day, Trump said he would return to common sense policies that are currently lacking.
Since the 2020 presidential election, which he wrongly insisted he won, Trump, 76, has held large-scale rallies that have drawn thousands of supporters. Saturday’s events in two of the states that will hold some of the earliest Republican primaries next year were much smaller in scale.
