One man is dead and one person is in custody after a stabbing in downtown Toronto Sunday afternoon.

The stabbing happened in the area of ​​Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street East, police say

One man is dead and one person is in custody after a stabbing in downtown Toronto Sunday afternoon.

Toronto police said they received a call about a stabbing near Sherbourne Street and Dundas Street East around 3:40 p.m.

Emergency crews reported finding a man with multiple stab wounds. Paramedics treated him at the scene, but police said he died at the scene.

One person has since been arrested in connection with the stabbing, police said.

An investigation is underway.
