GRANDE PRAIRE, Alta.,- Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation Minister Nate Horner has released a statement regarding late entry into the 2022 AgriStable for poultry producers who are not currently registered.
In response to the 2022 avian influenza outbreak, the governments of Canada and Alberta have agreed to allow late entry, and producers can contact the Agriculture Financial Services Corporation to sign up by February 28.
“Alberta producers have faced significant impacts, significant losses and great stress during this time,” Horner said in a news release.
He says that in recognition of the potential for more infections as spring approaches, he will continue to work with the industry to identify all available tools and support to mitigate the impact of bird flu.
