GOAL! Real Madrid 3-0 Espanyol (Asensio 55)

Another at the Bernabeu, where Real Madrid is having a party for the title.

GOAL! Nottm Forest 4-1 Swansea (Surridge 69)

Sam Surridge’s hat-trick, the first of his career, marked an excellent victory for Nottingham Forest. They have won nine of their last 10 league games.

Watford 1-0 Burnley Ashley Barnes is denied a spectacular save for Ben Foster! Barnes was only five yards away when he encountered a cornering corner with a towering header, but Foster somehow slammed it into the bottom of the beam.

GOAL! Blackburn 0-2 Bournemouth (Billing 70)

Bournemouth look set to retain a three-point lead over Forest in this powerful match on Tuesday; Philip Billing scored his second goal at Ewood Park.

Updated at 16.30 BST

GOAL! Wolves 0-2 Brighton (Trosard 70)

Brighton were a much better team in Molineux and now the result reflects their dominance. Leandro Trosar, who recently won this stylish Spurs winner, scored another great goal.

Watford 1-0 Burnley. Just over 20 minutes left.

Wolves 0-1 Brighton I think I’m right in saying that Brighton never finished higher than 13th in the Premier League. As things stand, they are ninth and if they had not missed 521 penalties, they would have fought for the title.

Here is the table in the Premier League, as things stand

GOAL! Southampton 1-1 Crystal Palace (Eze 60)

Palace are on a level in the middle of the table, where-you-rest-this-summer clash at St Mary’s. But this game is not completely meaningless, because the goal was scored by Ebereci Eze; this is his first since his long break with an injury at the start of the season.

GOAL! Nottingham Forest 3-1 Swansea (Surij 52)

Boom Boom! Sam Surridge scored his second goal in five minutes to give Forrest some breathing space. It sounds like beauty carelessly curved in the far corner. This is the championship table, as things stand, and remember that Bournemouth are playing with Forest on Tuesday in a potential humdinger.

GOAL! Nottm Forest 2-1 Swansea (Surridge 48)

Forrest leads Swansea for the second time at City Ground. Surridge himself — once from Swansea, not to mention Bournemouth — had led them back.

And here’s a colorful piece by Jonathan Wilson of St. James Park

This one starts at 17:00 BST. Barcelona leads 5-1 from the first game, so Wolfsburg needs a little miracle.

Half time: Real Madrid 2-0 Espanyol It’s easy to forget that Real have not won the league so often in modern times – this will be only their fourth title in the last 14 seasons.

Watford 1-0 Burnley After a poor performance in the first half, Burnley made a quick start in the second. Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has just made a great save from Aaron Lennon, writes here.

GOAL! Real Madrid 2-0 Espanyol (Rodrigo 43)

Second goal for Madrid, second goal for Rodrigo and the ghost of Raul Tamudo is very quiet today.

Pip pip! This is the halftime of our matches, with the exception of Real Madrid, and here are the latest results.

GOAL! Real Madrid 1-0 Espanyol (Rodrigo 34)

In the 34th minute Rodrigo brought Real Madrid to the brink of his 35th league title. They only need a draw today to win the league with four games in space.

“Hey, Rob,” says Rick Harris. “I know these PL games are boring, but what about the demolition work that my Bristol City team is doing at Hull at Ashton Gate – 3-0 and a cruise!”

While I would like to cover all the 579,148 football matches currently taking place on Earth this afternoon, we need to draw the line somewhere. But you can follow all these games with our live results page.

GOAL! Coventry 0-1 Huddersfield (Tofolo 45)

Bournemouth this, Forrest this … Huddersfield are still fighting for an automatic promotion, and Harry Tofolo has just taken them to Coventry.

GOAL! Wolves 0-1 Brighton (pen Mac Allister 42)

Alexis McAllister missed a penalty earlier in the match, but this time he scored! He went from the same side and although Jose Sa grabbed him, the shot was good enough to go through him and enter the net.

GOAL! Aston Villa 1-0 Norwich (Watkins 41)

Here is more about the death of Mino Raiola. This time it was confirmed by his family.

Watford 1-0 Burnley

Burnley also received a penalty, although the decision was overturned by your friends and mine at Stockley Park.

After consulting with the VAR, the decision to award a penalty for Burnley’s foul against Dwight McNeill was overturned and a free kick will be taken against Burnley.

MISSED PENALTY! Wolves 0-0 Brighton

Brighton missed another penalty. This time Alexis McAllister hit the crossbar after a handball by Romain Sais.

“This page from ’83 / ’84 – Notts County plays Nottingham Forest and Leicester City in the top division,” said Bill Hargreaves. “The money ruined the game, I say.”

This was the season when County was involved in one of the strangest incidents in high-end football. You are reserved, and you, and you, and you.

GOAL! Nottingham Forest 1-1 Swansea (Obafemi 28)

It didn’t take long: the Irish striker in good shape Michael Obafemi equalized for Swansea.

GOAL! Nottingham Forest 1-0 Swansea (Christie 22)

Forrest saw Bournemouth’s goal and equalized. This happened under strange circumstances: Cyrus Christie was initially sent off for a handball, with a penalty awarded to Forrest, but it turned out that he handled the ball after it crossed the line. This meant that the goal was scored and Christie remained on the field.

An important goal in the race for automatic promotion in the Premier League. Dominic Solanke put Bournemouth ahead with their 30th goal of the season.

Watford 1-0 Burnley Hook’s shot was deflected by Tarkovsky, and then Joao Pedro transferred a 17-yard volley. Watford are well on top.

Watford 1-0 Burnley

Burnley doesn’t seem to be leaving at all. This is such an important day for them, but also for Watford, who will give themselves a chance outside for a great escape if they win today. Their clash is not the worst, especially involving Everton at home.

Southampton 1-0 Crystal Palace

As things stand, Southampton are ninth in the table. Not exactly 1983-84, but still a phenomenal effort for a team that lost Danny Ings, Ryan Bertrand and Yannick Westergaard in the summer.

GOAL! Watford 1-0 Burnley (Tarkovsky og 8)

Great start for Everton! And even for Watford! Juraj Kuka’s shot hit the crossbar, hit James Tarkovsky and dribbled into the net. There was nothing Tarkovsky could do about it.

Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool

Here is Louise Taylor’s report on Liverpool’s impressive, effective victory over St. James Park.

On Sky Sports, Jeff Stelling has just announced that in 24 years Chris Camara will leave Soccer Saturday at the end of the season. The farewell installation – voiced, of course, by EMF – is great. I will post it here as soon as it appears on YouTube or Twotter.

The big Premier League game is on Vicarage Road, where Watford plays Burnley. A win for Burnley will move them five points away from Everton after playing two games more, and will significantly increase the chances of the most shocking relegation of the English of the highest class after the Spurs in 1976-77.
