Patron, whose name means “patron” in Ukrainian, barked and wagged his tail when he was awarded the medal.
He also met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who paid a surprise visit to Ukraine on Sunday and attended the conference. Trudeau appeared to search his pockets for a treat to give to Patron.
