A man was “shot in the back” in North Belfast.
Police say the shooting took place shortly before 12:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, May 24, at Westland Way.
The 30-year-old man was taken to hospital.

The suspect is believed to have fled the area on foot.
Detective Sergeant Doherty of PSNI said: “It was reported shortly before 00:20 that a man in his thirties had been shot in the back in the Westland Way area. He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
“It is believed that the suspect, described as weak and dressed all in dark clothes with a mask and a tight hood on his face, fled the area on foot in the direction of Westland Road.
“Our investigations into this incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw something, or who may have a camera or other footage, to contact the 101 police, citing reference 22 of 24 / 5/22. “
