Emergency crews rescue kayakers in the Gulds water rescue

Emergency crews were called to the Goulds water rescue this afternoon.

Shortly before noon, firefighters, ambulance crews and police were called to Second Pond in the Goulds, where two kayakers overturned and needed an emergency water rescue.

One kayaker, who is unharmed, told VOCM reporters at the scene that he was flooded by sudden gusts of wind and waves, which led to the rescue.
