Now it seems that Liverpool did just that.

Football Transfers have revealed that Darwin Nunes will become Liverpool’s most profitable player after his transfer is over.
According to their report, Nunes will earn “north of 250,000 euros a week” in Liverpool.
That would put him ahead of Virgil van Dyke (£ 220,000), Thiago Alcantara (£ 200,000) and Mohamed Salah (£ 200,000).
The report says this has not been confirmed, but it is difficult to imagine that Nunes will enter and immediately be the most profitable, while Liverpool is struggling to retain its greatest talents.
