Xiaomi has finally released the Mi Band 7 worldwide. The fitness tracker was launched in China last month.
The company tacitly announced the international release of Mi Band 7 along with a bunch of other products. As with previous Mi Bands, Xiaomi has renamed Mi Band 7 “Mi Smart Band 7” for global markets.
The updated tracker has a larger 1.62-inch Always-on AMOLED display compared to the 1.56-inch display of the Mi Band 6. Xiaomi has also refreshed the group’s user interface with redrawn icons, new effects and improved data visualization.
In terms of tracking features and capabilities, the Mi Band 7 offers over 110 sports modes, including three brand new ones to measure training load, recovery time and training effect. There is also a new VO₂ max professional training analysis that measures the maximum amount of oxygen used by users during training.
In addition to the new additions, Mi Band 7 has all the basic fitness features such as continuous monitoring of heart rate and oxygen in the blood, tracking steps and calories and more. You can read in detail about all the features of Mi Band 7 here.
Xiaomi did not specify whether the global Mi Band 7 model comes with NFC and voice assistant. Features are something Xiaomi doesn’t make widely available outside of China. Last year, Xiaomi released a special version of the Mi Band 6 NFC with Alexa on the world market. However, it only works in 15 countries to facilitate contactless payments. We assume that Xiaomi will release an NFC version of the Mi Band 7 at a later date, but we will know more after the tracker goes on sale worldwide.
In terms of price, the Mi Band 7 is priced at 49.9 euros (~ 52 dollars). It will soon be available in a variety of color options, including ivory, orange, green, blue, black, pink, fluorescent green, fluorescent orange, camouflage green and camouflage blue.
