Phoebe Bridgers has revealed that she had an abortion in 2021 while on tour. The 27-year-old singer and songwriter shared her story on social media after the expiration of the majority’s draft opinion, which shows that the US Supreme Court intends to remove Rowe against Wade.
“I had an abortion last October while I was on tour. I went to planned parenting, where they gave me the abortion pill. It was easy. Everyone deserves such access,” she wrote.

Bridgers directed her followers to The Cut’s “Donate to an Abortion Fund Right Now” article, which lists local organizations that help coordinate and pay for abortion care for women in need.
The singer of “Motion Sickness” did not reveal which planned parenting she went to. Bridges unexpectedly canceled the show in New Orleans on October 3, and many of her tours last October were in the red states.
In an unprecedented move, Politico published a draft opinion written by Judge Samuel Alito in February, which overturned the landmark 1973 ruling guaranteeing federal constitutional protection of abortion rights.
“Rowe is extremely wrong from the beginning,” Alito wrote.
According to the project, the US Supreme Court also rejected the subsequent decision of 1992 Planned Parenthood against Casey, which confirmed Rowe.
“We believe that Rowe and Casey should be repealed,” Alito said in a document titled “Court Opinion.” “It is time to listen to the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to elected representatives.”
Bridgers is hardly the only star to talk about the possibility of Rowe being canceled. Amy Schumer, Lena Dunham, Busy Phillips and Upie Goldberg condemned the likely decision.
