Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross has blamed Boris Johnson and the Partygate scandal for “very disappointing” results for the Tories in local elections in the UK.
Mr Ross said voters had sent a clear message that they were “dissatisfied” with both the prime minister and the law-breaking parties, but also said Mr Johnson should remain at number 10.
This happens when the leadership of the head of the Scottish Tories seems to be under threat, with colleagues pointing out his own “failure” to deal with the Partygate scandal.
