Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky told the London-based think tank Chatham House that any peace deal with Moscow would depend on the withdrawal of Russian forces from their pre-war positions, the BBC reported.
Zelensky said this is the minimum that Ukraine can accept, according to the report. He added that it could not be about Russia holding territory it had occupied since the beginning of the invasion.
“I was elected by the people of Ukraine as president of Ukraine, not president of some mini-Ukraine. This is a very important moment,” he said, according to a BBC report.
