Nice return round for Alvarez. He trapped Buffalo on the ropes and released his hands, landing many shots. But he emptied much of the tank, doing so until Buffalo, who took all those shots well, managed to save some for the championship rounds.

Alvarez is in trouble. The buffalo is harassing the younger man around the ring, and Alvarez is reversing, skipping many blows as he walks. Buffalo extends a large right hand and Álvarez turns back into the ropes. Alvarez’s results are much lower. Bivol leads the perfect battle, dealing all clean blows. Alvarez looks disappointed and exhausted. Easy circle of Bivol.

Buffalo continues to disturb Canello with his size, movement and rhythm. It has been a long time since we have seen Alvarez face this kind of adversity. Buffalo defeats Alvarez to the blow, using that blow with a truncheon as the basis of everything, and Alvarez seems to have no idea.

Buffalo has an excellent fight. He keeps Canello at bay with deft footwork, ring intelligence and huge size, without making the mistakes Canello makes to exploit. But his result fell in this round and Alvarez did enough to take the sixth, especially with his defense. According to Compubox’s strike statistics, he hit 71 out of 316 (24%), compared to 40 out of 248 for Canello (16%).

5th round
Alvarez continues to push the action, but can not withstand the attack. Buffalo’s left eye begins to show slight damage. Buffalo then grabs Alvarez by the ropes and unloads seven or eight blows, landing about half of them. Alvarez lies against the ropes and waves to his opponent, telling him to throw more, but the heartless Buffalo really catches the bait. A clear round of Buffalo.

Buffalo continues to succeed, hitting from a distance. He uses his length to his advantage, but is not afraid to step into his pocket and throw to the body to create combinations above. Canello’s face was flushed from Buffalo’s constant blow to the head. Alvarez increased the pressure, but many of his shots were blocked or parried by the older man. Canello lands with a sharp right uppercut in the final seconds, but that’s not enough to turn the round. Alvarez is in battle tonight!

The buffalo strikes with its right hand towards the body, creating a combination from above. Buffalo does let go, and Canello responds in a similar way. Bivol is currently dealing with stock exchanges. He still hits and makes straight in a combination of Bivol, whose hand speed seems to worry Alvarez. Cinnamon is more than independent, it does a good job with the body. Another close but clear circle for Buffalo.

Alvarez strikes several powerful blows around Buffalo’s tight guard. He grabs Buffalo’s chin with another hook. Buffalo has picked up the pace now and strikes more in combination, but they are not clean. Canello makes the uppercut with a flush, but Buffalo accepts it well. An easy round for Alvarez.

Here is the bell and the fighters meet in the center of the ring and start circling each other. Cinnamon in tight guard, but throws more in the beginning. But Buffalo looks comfortable there and scores a lot with his shot. Canello drives a hook into the body, but Buffalo responds with a combination. Canello misses the uppercut near the end of the round, but the audience explodes as if connecting. A close but clear circle for the champion.

Alvarez, the biggest star in the sport and the consensus number one in the pound for the pound, is returning to the heaviest weight of his career to face undefeated Buffalo, who holds the WBA version of the 175-pound title.
“I like this kind of challenge because I want to make history,” Alvarez said this week. “This kind of challenge will put me at the top of boxing history. I feel alive when I have this kind of challenge. I respect Dmitry Bivol’s boxing skills, but it’s my time. I feel like I’m in my prime. I enjoy that moment. ”
Cleveland Montana Love just won a unanimous decision over Mexican Gabriel Valenzuela in their 12-round match in the super lightweight category, the last undercard match of the evening. Next: the main event. Alvarez and Buffalo have to go out on the alleys in just under half an hour. There are many more things that need to happen between now and then.
