The Scottish student bought Wowcher Mystery Holiday for £ 99, but said she was told the bags she was taking could be taken as a carry-on.
But when they reached the gate, they were told that the bags should be placed in the hold of the plane.
In a video posted on social media, she told her 54,000 followers: “In the UK, you can get this thing called the mysterious £ 99 Wowcher deal, where you pay £ 99 each and get a whole holiday , flights and hotel for £ 99.
“The trick is that you just don’t know where you’re going.
“And she told us that our bags were included in the plane tickets because they were just bags, not bags or anything, not suitcases.
“She was wrong.
“We got all the way to the airport exit, and just as we were boarding, the woman at RyanAir said, ‘Look, you have to put these bags in the trunk.’
“We were a little annoyed because we had to pay extra money we didn’t know about, and they put the bags in the hold.
“But that’s not the reason the plane was delayed.”
When she and her boyfriend got in the seat, she realized she had left an IMPORTANT item in her bag.
She continued, “We’re taking our seats, and my friend turns to me and asks me, ‘Oh, do you have your passport?’
“My passport was in the bag they put in the trunk.
“And you can’t go through customs without a passport.
“So I had to go to the pilot and the pilot had to call the ground crew, the ground crew had to get my bag out of the hold where they just put it.
“And then I had to rummage in my bag in front of everyone on the plane.
“And then they had to repack the trunk with my bag in it.
“I was the most hated person on this flight.”
The TikTok user then revealed that despite the delay, they should enjoy their mysterious holiday in Turin, Italy.
The video has been liked more than 19,000 times as followers have reacted to the story.
One said, “Oh no, I would cry.”
Another replied, “I must die.”
Some shared their own similar experiences when the same thing eventually happened to them.
One man wrote: “I happened to fly with Krakow to Edinburgh, I didn’t click until we landed. They had to send officers to look for my case after it was unloaded.”
A second answer: “No, I did that and I only realized when I entered Barcelona, I delayed the whole school trip.”
