Apple today visualizes macOS Ventura, its latest operating system for Mac, and one of the new features is a redesigned and renamed system setup application that replaces the system preferences of macOS Monterey and previous versions.
The new System Preferences app looks more like the iPhone and iPad Settings app, with the settings placed in a sidebar for easy access.
System preferences have been the name of the app for more than 20 years, but system settings are the new name for the future. The revised application is limited to macOS Ventura, which will be publicly released in the fall. The first beta version of macOS Ventura was put to developers today for testing, and Apple said the first public beta version will be released in July.
