Police say a man is in hospital after being wounded with a unique weapon Sunday night in Vancouver.

The Vancouver Police Department said the 34-year-old victim had been “stabbed several times”.

In a statement on social media, VPD wrote that the strange stabbing took place in a building in the area of ​​Maine and Hastings streets, in the center of East Side.

In an email to CTV News on Monday, police said they were called to a social housing building around 9pm by officials who said two men were fighting and the fight was fierce.

The victim was taken to hospital and while police did not provide details about his condition, they said he was expected to recover. His injuries are serious, police told CTV, and the man was unconscious and unconscious while being treated on the spot before being rushed to hospital.
