Officials also remind everyone attending Belsonic at Ormeau Park this month to respect locals and beware.
Superintendent Gerard Pollock said: “Police are working in partnership with event organizers and various agencies to plan Belsonic concerts. We want to see everyone who attends these shows to have fun while obeying the law, acting responsibly and being safe.
“We remind those who plan to attend the shows to plan their trip to and from the concert in advance. Here are some things that will help you during the day. If you drink, please do it responsibly, stay with your friends and take care of each other.
If you plan to take the elevator home after a concert with a friend or relative, keep in mind that the concert organizers have applied for a series of road closures that will see the Annadale Embankment from the Ormeau Road junction through Ravenhill Road, closed between 4 p.m. 00 and midnight. This is to ensure that people leave the scene safely. “
He continued: “Please agree with your collection points, bearing in mind that this road will be closed to traffic, which may cause disturbances in the common area. Arrange the collection points away from the immediate area and please respect the locals.

“If you plan to drive until the event, please park your car legally and make sure it does not cause an obstacle. Also, if you plan to drink at the concert, please do not drive. It only takes one drink to impair your ability to make decisions.
“While I appreciate that many attendees will be taking photos and videos and using social media, please make sure your mobile phone is fully charged or you have a portable charger – especially if you need to connect with friends or those who gather you at the end of the Concert! “
Superintendent Pollock also reminded concertgoers to respect the law and keep in mind the consequences of breaking the law.
“Being drunk in a public place can lead to a fine of up to £ 250, with the potential for a criminal record. Police may also impose a fixed fine of £ 40 for drunkenness in public and £ 80 for disorderly or conduct that may lead to a breach of the peace.
“We will watch the coaches approach the place. Drinking on buses is illegal and can pose a major risk to road safety, distracting the driver. We will also confiscate alcohol from persons under 18 years of age. We want everyone present at the concert to have a great evening, stay safe and remember the event for all the right reasons. “
