A man died after a double shooting in Etobico

A man is dead and another was seriously injured after a shooting in Etobico on Friday night, Toronto police said.

Ambulance crews were called to the Scarlett Road and Scarlettwood Court area, south of Lawrence Avenue West, around 10:40 p.m. Friday to report that someone had been shot.

When they arrived, police found a man with gunshot wounds. Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second victim was hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said. There are serious injuries.

The homicide unit is investigating.

There is currently no suspicious information.
