Biden is “fine” after falling off a bicycle while walking on a beach in Delaware, says the White House

US President Joe Biden fell when he tried to get off his bike at the end of a trip on Saturday in Cape Hanlopen State Park near his home on a beach in Delaware, but was not injured in the fall.

“I’m good,” he told reporters after US secret agents quickly helped him up. I pinched my feet in the cells of my toes.

Biden, 79, and First Lady Jill Biden were finishing their morning walk when the president decided to turn the pedals to a crowd of well-wishers standing by the bike path. Biden, who was wearing a helmet, picked up the spill as he tried to get off his horse, apparently falling to his right and rolling on his back before being helped.

The president quickly got together and spent a few minutes talking to people who had gathered to watch him ride a bike. Biden did not need medical attention and was “fine,” according to a White House statement.

Biden attended a liturgy at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach in the late afternoon. When he showed up after the service, passers-by applauded and reporters shouted questions about how he was feeling. The president smiled and made three jumps as he moved his arms like jumping rope.

The Biden family spent a long weekend at their home in Rehoboth Beach. On Friday, they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
