Dominion barely won the box office over the weekend

As we announced yesterday, Pixar’s debut Lightyear really failed to dethrone Jurassic World: Dominion, despite a nearly 60% drop for the dinosaur film in its second week. However, this 60 percent drop sounds more dramatic than it is, as the Dominion opened quite a bit last week. He has already made nearly $ 250 million, 58 of which came from last weekend. As for Lightyear, it reached $ 51 million (but not more), making it a somewhat disappointing return to theaters for the once unstoppable animation studio, whose last few films have been released directly at Disney +.

After Lightyear is Top Gun: Maverick, which dropped to third place with $ 44 million ($ 466 million in total). That’s $ 40 million higher than Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness, which made just $ 4 million ($ 405 million), and the latest film to break $ 1 million is The Bob’s Burgers. in fifth place ($ 29 million in four weeks). As a result, nothing really interesting is happening in the box office charts, except for Everything Everywhere and All at Once, which still remains, although it is now available for rent on digital platforms (it has been in the charts for 13 weeks and has $ 64 million to show for him). Jim Archer’s Brian and Charles are also surprisingly in the top 10 with just $ 198,000, which – without offending Jim Archer – says more about every other movie in the charts than Brian and Charles.

The full list of the top 10 is below, courtesy of Box Office Mojo, which includes movies that have nothing to say about, such as Downton Abbey: A New Era and Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
