A driver was allegedly caught driving twice the speed limit near Burlington, Ontario. tried to tell Ontario Provincial Police officers that he didn’t realize he was speeding.
According to a tweet posted by the OPP on Tuesday, the driver was pulled over on Highway 407 after he was caught going 200 km/h – almost twice the limit.
When pulled over, the OPP say the driver said he “didn’t realize he was going that fast.”
The driver’s attempt to reason didn’t stop officers from suspending his license for 30 days, along with impounding the vehicle in question for two weeks, the OPP say.
The driver was charged with stunt driving.
