Kardashian was also reportedly struggling with trying to maintain a long-distance romance with Davidson while he was away from the US filming his latest movie in Australia.
“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they’re just in very different places right now,” a source told Page Six.
“Pete is completely spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York or wherever he is at a moment’s notice. But Kim has four children and it’s not that easy. She should focus on the children.

Davidson has been away for months while filming his upcoming movie Wizards in Australia, where Kardashian visited him in July for a Daintree rainforest getaway.
Their split comes after a separate source said “long distance hasn’t been easy for Kim.”
Kardashian is still mired in the legal details of her divorce from third husband Kanye West, 45, with whom she shares children North, nine, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and three-year-old Psalm.
It has been reported that Kanye’s fifth divorce attorney has withdrawn from the long-running case.
Davidson’s other girlfriends including Andi McDowell’s daughter Margaret Qualley, 27, and supermodel Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber, 20, as well as Ariana Grande, 29, Kate Beckinsale, 49, and Phoebe Dinever, 27.
