Moseley died surrounded by his family after being injured in a car crash last week that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down and in critical condition, the actor’s daughter Ch-a Moseley said Saturday on Facebook. No further details about the crash were available. “We could never mourn such an amazing man. He will HATE any crying done on his behalf. It’s time to celebrate the legacy he left for all of us,” his daughter said when announcing his death. “I love you, Dad. You loved me too. My heart is heavy, but I am strong. I will take care of Mom, your love of almost 60 years. You raised me well and she is in good hands. Rest in peace.” Moseley starred in more than 150 episodes of “Magnum, PI” alongside Tom Selleck on the crime-adventure series, which ran for eight seasons from 1980 to 1988. Moseley also appeared in a more recent reboot of the hit show as another character, John Bookey, according to his IMDb page.
In addition to Magnum, PI, the Los Angeles native starred as Coach Ricketts in the 1990 sitcom Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.
He also appeared in “Sanford and Son,” “Love Boat,” “Kojak,” “The Rockford Files,” “Starsky and Hutch” and dozens of other television series.
