Calgary police are searching for a man after a fatal shooting in the city’s southeast Sunday morning.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene on 17th Avenue near 34th Street SE around 4:40 a.m. to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said witnesses heard gunshots and then saw a man running from the scene. The male suspect is described as approximately 30 years old, 6′ 2″ tall, with a medium build and short black hair.
Dozens of witnesses were still at the scene Sunday morning as the investigation continued and police scoured CCTV.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
