Jeff Beck: British guitar legend dies aged 78

In the same year, he recorded the album Blow By Blow with Beatles producer George Martin. All-instrumental, Beck’s lyrical, sweet-sounding guitar playing essentially replaced lead vocalist parts, an approach he would use for much of the rest of his career.
