Prince Harry says he has refrained from stories about Charles and William

Fighting words.

Prince Harry has enough material for another book and only cuts out samples to spare his family.

The California-based royal, 38, told the Telegraph that the original transcript of his explosive memoir Spare was actually twice as long as the final version. And the edited parts were about his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William.

He explained that “the first draft was different” with a total of 800 pages rather than the current 400 pages.

“It could have been two books, so to speak. And the hardest part was getting the stuff out,” he said.

“There are some things that have happened, especially between me and my brother and to some extent between me and my father, that I just don’t want the world to know. Because I don’t think they would ever forgive me,” added the Duke of Sussex.

He also noted that he struggled to decide what the final cut was because he was aware that his family considered writing a book an “absolute no”.

Harry also claimed the media has “a lot of dirt on my family, I know they do, and they’re sweeping it under the rug for somebody else’s juicy stories.”

Although he edited his book, he kept some pretty juicy details, including the issues between his wife Meghan Markle and the royal family.

In one instance, he recounted a physical altercation between him and William over Markle, which resulted in the heir to the throne allegedly pushing Harry to the floor.

He also accused the Prince and Princess of Wales of being unwelcoming to Markle, of ignoring him when they were both students at Eton, of envying him for coming up with the concept of the Invictus Games and encouraging him to wears a Nazi costume to an outrageous costume party.

However, not all excavations were so serious. He even drew attention to his sibling’s “alarming” baldness in the book.

The prince admitted he knew he would be “trashed” for including details of his family, but defended the decision, insisting it was impossible to tell his story without including them.

He also explained that he felt a “responsibility” to reform the monarchy for the sake of his two nephews and niece, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.

“I know that out of those three kids, at least one will end up like me, the backup. And that hurts me, it worries me,” he said, before admitting that Prince William “has made it very clear to me that his children are not my responsibility.”

The renegade royal also demanded that the royal family apologize to his wife.

“Because you know what you did and now I know why you did it. You got caught too, so just admit it and then we can all move on.

He claims no one heard when he raised the alarm.

“That’s the saddest part about it – it was all so avoidable. But they just couldn’t help themselves,” he added.

Despite criticism of the book, Harry stressed that he did not want to destroy the House of Windsor.

“This is not about trying to bring down the monarchy – this is about trying to save them from themselves,” he said. “I know I’m going to get crucified by a lot of people who say that.”
