A flood warning is currently in place for Crowhurst in East Sussex due to rising river levels.
The warning area issued by the Environment Agency covers Powdermill Stream in Crowhurst from the post office to the recreation area south of Sandrock Hill Road.
The warning means properties are at risk of flooding in the area and residents are being urged to take action to protect their homes.
There are also two flood warnings in place for the Combe Haven, Powdermill and Watermill streams and for the Tillingham and Brede rivers.
An Environment Agency spokesman said: “We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads along the River Bred, particularly around Winchelsea and along the River Tillingham between Broad Oak and Rye.
“We expect river levels to peak at Winchelsea and Rye later this afternoon and tonight, with high tide.
“Our incident response team is actively monitoring the situation and is ready to respond as needed.
“Please take care if further flood warnings are issued and avoid using low-lying footpaths near local watercourses.”
